Muirden Senior College is an inner city co-educational school established in 1900 for students completing Years 11 and 12, and offers a wide variety of SACE subjects at Stage 1 and Stage 2. The College does not require students to sit an entrance examination to enrol, and there are no mandatory extracurricular activities. It is our aim to remain a small school community of between 100 and 110 full-time equivalent enrolments. This means that our classes are much smaller than in traditional schools. Class sizes average between 10 and 15 students allowing teachers more time to work with students on an individual basis.
We aim to foster bidirectional relationships which focus on academic resilience and educational engagement. These relationships build a sense of mutual respect, and encourage the achievement of each individual students’ goals. Our teachers are dedicated, highly qualified professionals who bring with them a variety of educational and personal experiences, and enjoy working with young people.
We acknowledge and accept individual differences. We provide a supportive environment which encourages students to develop a committed approach to their educational goals and to engage with their learning community.
I would be happy to speak with you over the phone or in a face to face interview if you wish to know more about our College.
