This subject has been structured around the concepts of architecture and the built environment. It aims to develop and enhance student creativity, artistic self-confidence, problem-solving skills and a broader awareness of the role architecture plays in both a historical, contemporary and local context.
There is opportunity for students to undertake practical and theoretical learning. By looking at the work of local, national and international architects and urban planners, students will be able to investigate, discuss and analyse architecture to broaden their knowledge of other architects.
Students will work individually and as a group to design and produce their own eco neighbourhood model design.
This course will prepare the students for Stage 2 Creative Arts or Visual Arts.
