Business and Marketing offers students an opportunity to understand how businesses operate, how they contribute to the economy and the factors that can influence the management of a business.

 

We will explore topics such as, the impact of emerging technology in the business sector, the psychology and creativity behind marketing including consumer rights and understanding the internal and external factors that can impact a business’ operation and performance. This will include students creating a hypothetical business plan of their own detailing operation, management and associated financial costs.

Assessment:

  • Assessment Type 1: Folio (40%)
  • Assessment Type 2: Practical (30%)
  • Assessment Type 3: Issues Study (30%)

Pathways:

Business and Marketing provides a sound preparation for Business and Enterprise or Economic Studies at Stage 2.
