In Stage 1 Business and Enterprise you will develop a broad base of business knowledge and develop skills to critically analyse information about current issues in business.

 

You will study how businesses are influenced by, and influence, local, regional, and global systems and institutions. Semester 1 includes a special focus on international business environments and changing consumer patterns. You will explore the challenges and opportunities created by the increasing globalisation of the world economy. In addition you will have opportunities to apply your knowledge to current domestic and global business issues.

 

Semester 2 will incorporate the impact of technology on business and the role of enterprising individuals at a local, domestic and international level.

Assessment:

  • Assessment Type 1: Folio (40%)
  • Assessment Type 2: Practical (30%)
  • Assessment Type 3: Issues Study (30%)

Pathways:

Business and Enterprise provides a sound preparation for Business and Enterprise or Economics at Stage 2.
