In Business and Enterprise we explore three key topics; the business environment, the work environment and marketing. The business environment unit explores common business structures, trends and internal and external factors that affect modern Australian businesses.

The work environment unit examines how the workforce has changed and where it is likely to head in the future, management styles and employment legislation. This unit will provide a good foundation for those who are about to enter the professional workforce. The marketing unit explores the psychological and creative aspects of marketing, providing you with opportunities to create innovative strategies to market products and services.

There is no examination for this subject,  however there is an external assessment in the form of a situation analysis worth 30% of the overall grade. This component requires you to select a local business which you analyse and provide recommendations to management on how to improve their strategic positioning.

The 70% school grade component will comprise of; 4 folio tasks designed to develop your knowledge and skills, an issues study which will allow you to explore contemporary issues affecting business enterprise, and a practical assessment task where you can apply your theoretical knowledge and creative ideas to the design of a new business venture.
