Accounting will provide students with an important foundation in learning how businesses manage their money.
In Accounting students will learn how to process financial information and produce a range of financial reports. Students will analyse and interpret financial and non-financial information and make recommendations to the course of action that management should pursue in a range of hypothetical scenarios.
Assessment will comprise of two school based components and an external examination.
School Assessment (70%)
External Assessment (30%)
This subject is accepted for entry to tertiary courses including university courses. It is broadly based and also provides an ideal preparation for entry to careers associated with business. It will help students to manage financial affairs throughout their lives and contribute to their education for their role as citizens.
